Welcome

We at Prairie Creek Baptist Church consider it a privilege to be a part of your wedding.  The marriage ceremony itself is the significant beginning of the marriage covenant.  It should not be entered into without adequate spiritual and temporal preparation.

General Information

All weddings and receptions are scheduled through the church office at 972-596-4805.  Weddings and receptions may be scheduled no more than six months in advance for non-members.

Wedding rehearsals, weddings, or wedding receptions are not scheduled on the following days:  Sundays, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter weekend, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or on a weekend when a musical production has been scheduled at the church.

No alcoholic beverages or containers are permitted on church property.  No member of the wedding party under the influence of alcohol will be permitted to participate in the rehearsal or wedding.  No smoking is allowed anywhere in the buildings.

Pre-marital counseling is required.  Outside Ministers are allowed, but must first be approved by the senior pastor. 

DEPOSITS AND FEES

Security Deposit

A security deposit of $125 is necessary to reserve the wedding date on the church calendar.  It will be refunded the week following the wedding if facilities and equipment are left in good condition.  A portion or all of the deposit may be held in the event of damage to church property or if extra custodial help is required.

Wedding Rehearsal and Ceremony Fees

Active Members: $450 plus security deposit

   Non-members:  $850 plus security deposit

Wedding Reception Fees

Active Members:  Gym and Kitchen - $200, Small Auditorium - $150

    Non-members:  Gym and Kitchen - $300, Small Auditorium - N/A

Fees include:

• Facilities for the rehearsal, wedding, and reception (if applicable)
• Wedding Coordinator who assists in coordinating your rehearsal and wedding
• Sound Technician
• Custodian
  

Fees/honorariums for the pastor, pre-marital counseling, musicians, and soloists are not included.

Non-members may use church owned silk flowers, silk greenery, and wedding equipment for an additional $100 fee.  There is no charge for active members.

You must have been an active member of the church for the past six months in order to qualify for active member fees.  

Worship Center

The worship center seats 425 people.  It does not have a center aisle.
