Acts 5:42 provides a fascinating glimpse into the life of the early church: And every day both in the temple courts and from house to house, they did not stop teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus was the Christ.
The second part of church life we see described here is an intimate time of gathering in homes. Church is not a building we gather in, it is what we are together. In the home setting, we can develop close relationships. In these smaller groups, we can all learn about the needs in our lives and serve one another.
Our H2H groups are inter-generational, providing us an opportunity to participate in an activity as a whole family, allowing relationships to develop across age barriers. This also allows our senior adults to develop relationships with younger persons who can benefit from their wisdom and experience. Our H2H groups are meant to ensure that none of us faces isolation in life.
